BT1000XT settings for self tracking

williar1's picture

Hi There

I've bought a BT1000XT to track myself, I'm looking to create something along these lines...

https://geoloqi.com/blog/2012/03/data-portraits-powered-by-3-5-years-of-...

I've got a mac, and so have downloaded BT747, and sucessfully set everything up thanks to the superb help guides and advice here on the forums :D

I've downloaded some logs from it, but they're not as accurate as i'd hoped and jump around a little bit rather than follow the roads and paths I'm walking along...

also if i'm sat outside for a bit somewhere i get a giant star of points in the area i'm in...

but i'm just using the device with it's vanilla settings, i dont really understand things like hdop yet...

so what i was wondering was if anyone could recommend a good few settings to tweak for good accurate tracking of someone walking around...

I've set it to 1second from 5, and just turned on hdop, but that's it so far :D

any help would be fantastic :D

Rob.
